The cost of a notary is governed by a number of things. State legislation establishes the maximum rates for notarizations. In Maryland, for example, the maximum rate per notarized signature is $8. However, this does not account for travel expenses, time, courier services, etc. Each state is unique.

 

APPOINTMENT DEPOSIT:

When scheduling your Mobile Notary appointment, a non-refundable deposit of $16 is required to secure your desired time slot. The appointment will be confirmed upon a call/notification follow up from Technotary Consulting, LLC., following your appointment request.

SERVICE AGREEMENT:

All payments to Technotary Consulting LLC., for services rendered, are due at the time of service, unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon prior to the commencement of the job. No Exceptions.

ADDITIONIAL FEES: 

Note: The following fees do not include notarization services, travel, or non-refundable booking fee.

Appointments scheduled during Federal Holidays are $25.; Inclement weather: $20.; Weekends: $15.; Appointments after 6PM: $12.; Late Fee: $5., per 15 minute increments.**

TRAVEL FEES:

Travel fees are charged .70 cents per mile within the State of Maryland. We provide services to Frederick County, Maryland, City of Frederick, New Market, Brunswick, Ballenger Creek, Middletown, Buckeystown, Boonsboro, Urbana, MT Airy, Jefferson, etc.  Don't see your area listed?  Let's Chat!

REFUNDS:

All notary services, once provided, are not eligible for a refund due to the nature of the service. These services include but are not limited to completed notarizations or notary acts that have been executed and finalized.

EXCESSIVE WAITING:

Technotary Consulting, LLC. reserves the right to charge $15 per 15 minutes, billed in 30 minute increments beginning 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time.  Wait time and travel fee must be paid before any documents are notarized. No Exceptions.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

At Technotary Consulting, LLC understands that unexpected situations arise, and we strive to accommodate our clients.  However, to ensure fairness and account for time and travel, the following cancellation policy applies:

Cancellation Fees:

• More than 24 hours in advance - no cancellation fee;

• Less then 24 hours - a 25% cancellation fee will apply;

• Same Day - 50% cancellation fee will apply;

• No Show or Unprepared - If an appointment cannot proceed due to a missing or expired ID, lack of required witness, incomplete documents or Client unavailability, a 100% cancellation fee will apply.

SERVICE UNAVAILABILITY: 

If Technotary Consulting, LLC. is unable to fulfil your notary services due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of your non-refundable deposit, will be provided. 

 

In this case, the refund will be processed using the original payment method. Please allow a reasonable processing time for the refund to be reflected in your account. Note, the timeframe for the refund to appear may vary depending on your financial institution.
